Jesus mosaic

This mosaic is created from a library of 687 pictures. It was created five years ago for the church I attend. At that point in time there were only 229 people in attendance. To have enough pictures to fill out the variations in shading I had to create two duplicates of every picture, one duplicate I darkened and the other duplicate I lightened. If I had not done this it would have never worked by only using pictures of the attendents. The other issue I allowed was the multiple use of images, I don't like to use any image more than one but due to the limited number of images I was working with it was the only option. This is the only time I have ever cheated the true form of a mosaic by altering images in pre-production and multiple use of images.
